This is not advice
Nothing on this site is financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship of any kind between you and TradeCalcHQ. We are not your accountant, your tax preparer, your broker, or your lawyer.
Consult a qualified professional before making any financial decision. That includes negotiating a compensation plan, setting your own commission rates, deciding what to set aside for tax, and disputing a payment you believe is wrong. A professional can see the details of your situation. A calculator cannot.
Results are estimates only
Every figure this site produces is an estimate based solely on the numbers you type in. It is arithmetic, not a determination. Real pay depends on the exact wording of your contract, the timing of when deals are recognised, clawback and chargeback provisions, quota accelerators, payroll practices, and rules that vary by employer.
Treat every result as a sanity check on a number you have been given, or a starting point for a conversation, never as the final word.
Rules and rates change
Commission structures, tax rates, withholding rules, and financial regulations vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Industry benchmark figures on this site are drawn from published wage data and compensation reports, and describe typical ranges rather than what any particular employer pays.
Content that was accurate when written may be out of date by the time you read it. We do not undertake to keep every figure current.
What we do not account for
- Income tax, payroll tax, self-employment tax, and withholding, unless a calculator explicitly says otherwise.
- Clawbacks, chargebacks, and refunds that reverse a commission after it is paid.
- The specific terms of your employment agreement or commission plan.
- Local rules in your country, state, or province.
- Currency conversion, inflation, and the timing of when money actually arrives.
No liability
TradeCalcHQ accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on this site. You use it at your own risk, and you are responsible for verifying any figure before you act on it. Our Terms of Use set out the full limitation.
