What we collect

• Email addresses. If you use the “Email me my results” form on a calculator page, we receive the address you type along with a summary of that calculation. The form is optional. Every calculator works fully without it.
• Calculator inputs, stored in your own browser. We save the values you enter to your browser’s localStorage so your work survives a refresh or switching apps on a phone. This data stays on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers and we cannot read it.
• Anonymous usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and a small number of custom events, such as which calculator mode was used or whether a link was clicked. These events record what was done, not who did it.

Cookies

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies in your browser to distinguish one visit from another. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. We do not run ad networks and we do not build advertising profiles.

You can block them. Any browser extension that blocks Google Analytics will stop this collection, as will your browser’s own tracking protection or a Do Not Track setting where the browser enforces one. The calculators keep working normally when analytics are blocked.

Clearing your stored calculator data

Every calculator page has a “Clear All” control that deletes its saved inputs immediately. You can also clear this data yourself: in your browser’s settings, find the site data or storage section for tradecalchq.com and delete it. Doing so removes everything the site has kept on your device.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links to third-party products and services, including accounting software, tax preparation services, business formation services, and productivity tools. If you sign up or buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking such a link takes you to that company’s own site, where their privacy policy applies, not ours. Our calculator results are never affected by these relationships. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full statement.

How we use what we collect

Email addresses are used to send you the calculation you asked for and, where you have agreed to it, occasional related material. Analytics data is used to understand which tools people find useful so we can improve them. That is the whole list.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

How long we keep it

Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention period. Calculator inputs live in your browser and are kept until you clear them.

Children

This site is intended for adults running businesses or managing their own pay. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted an email address to us, contact admin@tradecalchq.com and we will delete it.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we process your data on the basis of consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Our lawful bases are straightforward: consent for the email you chose to give us, and legitimate interest for anonymous analytics that tell us which pages are worth maintaining. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@tradecalchq.com. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Your rights under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and the purposes for collecting it, the right to request its deletion, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is nothing to opt out of. To make a request to know or a request to delete, email admin@tradecalchq.com. We will respond within the time the law allows.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
